Komoot - a brilliant app that we use for route planning and navigation. This will enable us to share recommended routes with you to follow. We can provide phone holders.

what3words - highly recommended for safety - allows you to communicate your exact location in case of a problem or emergency

Riding advice
  • Mountain biking is an inherently risky activity, but the vast majority of rides should be safe and trouble-free provided you stick to the following guidance:
  • Do not ride if you have any medical conditions that might prevent you from doing so safely
  • Wear appropriate protective equipment (particularly a suitable helmet and gloves)
  • Ride within your ability, taking into account the conditions
  • Do not to attempt to ride on sections of trail which are steeper or more than technical than you have experience and skills to negotiate safely
  • Do not attempt jumps, drops, to race or to ride close to steep edges or cliffs
  • Do not ride the bike under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Respect the Highway Code and Country Code including stopping and dismounting where appropriate and notably not to ride on (yellow signposted) footpaths
  • Ride with care and to slow down when passing walkers, horses and other bike riders
  • Apply common sense and pay attention to signage when following GPS guided routes
  • Stop riding your rental bike and contact Southern Ebike Rentals if you should observe any problem with the equipment that may compromise its safe use
